With Love

This is the second card I made for the recent 2Crafty chipboard challenge in Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft. I experimented a lot with this card, playing with ideas of how to cover the chipboard in unique ways. In the end I painted the pieces with H2Os and I love how they turned out! I discovered the best way to achieve the rainbow look you see below was to apply the darker colours first, building my way up to the lighter shades. I also let each layer dry before adding the next. This prevented the colours running and turning muddy. H2Os have a beautiful shimmery effect that really suited this project. I hope this gives you a few ideas for your next chipboard design.

Best Wishes

A couple of months back I was kindly invited to participate in a product challenge for Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft using some very cool 2Crafty chipboard. First up, I made a wedding-slash-engagement card using the boy and girl family symbols. I covered them with plenty of coarse-grain glitter and set them within a circle of pretty patterned paper. The "best wishes" sentiment and the small hearts are simply coated with a rich gold ink. Love is in the air!

Ink - Brilliance galaxy gold
Paper - Graphic45
Card - kraft
Embellishments - 2Crafty chipboard family symbols, 2Crafty chipboard card sentiments, 2Crafty chipboard hearts, Kaisercraft pearls, lace, ribbon
