What kind of card do you made for a little boy's birthday? This was the conundrum I faced last week when I realised I didn't have long to think of an idea. I searched through my stamps and found this little cutie - really, I didn't have much to work with, I have very few "boy" stamps! I stamped him using a shimmery copper ink and added an over-size bow for a bit of fun and whimsy. Next, I masked the interior of the window card and stamped the front with a curlicue design by Amazing Creations. I'd like to think the effect mimics old-school party streamers :-) The finishing touches are very simple - a big paper flower and "happy birthday" stamped in copper to match the kitty. Oh, and just a leeeetle glitter :-)

Here's a little bit of happy for your Saturday afternoon :-) I love working with black and white, it's such a classic combination. I gave it a twist, though - a splash of vibrant red and just a hint of pink. This is a very simple card, not something I make often - I tend to favour busy designs! - but it's fun to mix it up once in a while. It's also useful to have a few all-purpose cards on hand for a rainy day.
Have an amazing long weekend!
