Good on Paper

I've often thought about thinning my collection of old school wood-mounted stamps. They take up a lot of room and if you have them out on display, like I do, they have an annoying tendency to get dusty. But there
are a few stamps I could never, ever part with - I love them that much. Foremost among them are my Acey Deucy's. I don't use them often - they sit in pride of place on the shelves above my desk, but every once in a while I ink them up and make a card or two. That's what they're meant for, after all :-)

Stamps - Acey Deucy
Ink - StazOn jet black, Brilliance galaxy gold
Paper - flocked black on gold, gold vellum

If you read last month's Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine you probably noticed the sketch challenge to beat all sketch challenges. One word: circle. The thing is, I don't actually own a cutting machine. What I do have is a pair of not-so-sharp scissors. So, cue the search for a large circular item to trace onto my card stock - I ended up using my roll of double-sided tape - and voila! I had my circle. Easy. Ahem.

Stamps - Darkroom Door
Ink - Brilliance platinum planet, Versamark
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Darkroom Door seaside montage, Darkroom Door seaside wordstrips, Kaisercraft rhinestone, silver charms, miniature thermometer, ribbon, aida cloth
