Have Your Cake

Here is the second card I made for the Flourishes stampers' challenge in last month's issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft. I dug out my old watercolour pencils for this one - not something I do often but it was good fun, I really should practice more! I stamped and coloured two of the smaller images from the set, thinking I'd turn them into bunting (the icecream cone and popsicles worked best). Of course I had to stamp and colour the cake, it was just too cute to leave off the card, and I really wanted to use the "Have Your Cake And Eat It Too!" sentiment. Mmmmmmmm, cake.

Blowing Wishes Your Way

A couple of months ago Jane at Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft asked if like to participate in a Flourishes stampers' challenge for the December issue of the magazine. Of course I said yes! I received the
Pinwheels and Popsicles stamp set in the mail and immediately set about creating two cards with these sweet, whimsical stamps. First up is a card showcasing the pinwheel design, which I stamped multiple times on coloured cardstock. I organised the pinwheels in pairs and attached them to the card front with mounting foam for a hint of dimension and movement. I was fortunate to have this cloud print paper on hand which suited the theme perfectly. A few rhinestones... a bit of ribbon... done!
