Counting Each Day

The second Christmas issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft arrived last week and I was so excited to see my Christmas projects in print. The first card I'm sharing is one I made for the sketch challenge. I found this beautiful paper at my LSS and knew right away it would be perfect for what I had in mind. I tried to capture the whimsy of the season with the pastel colours, the vintage tree and sheet music, and just a hint of glittering gold. And how could I forget the grey kitten? I couldn't!

Paper - October Afternoon
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - ribbon
Other - paper piercer, gold glitter glue

Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft's first Christmas-themed issue of the year was released last month. I submitted two cards to the time management feature, which showcases simple cards you can make quickly and in bulk, and more complicated versions for special friends and family. In the first version of the card I kept it very simple indeed with just the stamp impressed on a page torn from an old music book. For the more advanced version, I added extra layers of card, tinsel and beads.

Have you started your Christmas cards yet? :-)

Stamp - Darkroom Door DDCS012 Jolly Santa collage stamp
Ink - Versa Magic Agean blue
Paper - pages from an old music book
Card - Bazzill, kraft
Embellishments - Darkroom Door brown on cream alphastrips, tinsel, beads, string
Other - decorative scissors, paper piercing tool, glue
