Smile

There was a multi-coloured stamping challenge in a recent issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft and I was excited to have a card featured in the challenge! As you can see I used a combination of blue and white ink to stamp my word block on kraft card. I love the way pastel inks look on kraft, so soft and pretty. And fussy-cutting the flower was... interesting. I mean fun! Grrrr.

Have a lovely weekend, wherever you are ;-)

Stamp - Darkroom Door DDWB009 Smile word block stamp
Ink - Versa Magic Aegean blue, Brilliance moonlight white
Paper - Kaisercraft
Card - kraft
Embellishments - yellow brads

Here's a card I made for the sketch challenge in June's edition of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine. After looking through my stamps I decided on a bird theme, which meant I got to play with this little cutie form Catslife Press. I added a few shabby-chic elements such as buttons, lace and braid, and finished it off with a sweet little birdie sentiment. Tweet tweet ;-)

Stamp - Catslife Press
Ink - Versa Magic Aegean blue
Paper - Kaisercraft
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Collections text, braid, buttons, lace
Other - sandpaper, glue, sewing needle, embroidery thread, paper piercer

DARKROOM DOOR Jolly Santa

It may be June but it's never too early to start your Christmas cards! I've been playing with the new Jolly Santa collage stamp from Darkroom Door and I've made a card and a tag to share with you. The card is an unusual mix of black, copper and cream tones. I rather like this colour combination! The tag is a more traditional red but with lots of fun embellishments to really make it pop. Enjoy!

3. Adhere the sentiment from the Dear Santa wordstrips.
