DARKROOM DOOR Sewing Machine

I love this stamp! My Mum has a sewing machine just like it. I went full on shabby-chic vintage with this one - pastel pinks and greens, lace, pins. You name it, it found its way onto the card :-) I think half the fun of making a card is rummaging through your supplies, finding the perfect embellishments and special one-off items to complement the design. Or is that just me?!

The new Compass stamp from Darkroom Door is great for troublesome men, whom I *always* have difficulty thinking up ideas for. I started with the background, stamping the compass on kraft paper and then building my tags with photobooth Gentlemen and lots of found objects. And look! I remembered to scan the tags before I went to town decorating them :-)

As you can see from the card below I went a little "wild" with this stamp! A friend of mine lived in South Africa for a year and when she came home she brought some lovely fabric, beads and charms for me to play with. I'd been saving them for the right project and I think this is it - they suit the Wild Things quote perfectly! My second sample is an ATC that I made with images from the Wildnerness montage sheet. If you've never stamped on acetate, give it a go! It's easy and looks great too.
