Can You Fly In Your Dreams?

My first post of 2012 and I'm back-tracking to a copy of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft that was released a month or so before Christmas. I had several projects in this issue, the first being a card I made for the pink/beige/blue gallery. I had an idea for a painted background and then building the design from there, so I used an old credit card to apply the pink and blue paint to a piece of canvas. Stitching the buttons and lace to the canvas was the laborious part but I love the shabby-chic effect. Totally worth the effort. The frame was a little tricky. I realised too late that I should have sanded it before applying the paint - it didn't want to stick!

Stamp - Catslife Press (text)
Ink - Versa Magic Agean blue
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - K&Company metal frame, lace, buttons, porcelain flower, satin wings
Other - acrylic paint, paintbrush, old credit card, sewing needle, embroidery thread
