14 December

I've been trying to get a move on with my Christmas cards. I have a bunch to make and *really* want to avoid a last-minute rush to get them done. I've set this one aside for my friend Amy, who doesn't read my blog so it's safe to share here :-) The Imaginisce number is my favorite part of the card. The sheet of paper it came from (numbers 1 through 25) was a lucky find at my LSS. I wish I'd bought more LOL

Paper - Basic Grey, Imaginisce, Creative Imaginations
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Kaisercraft rhinestones, Imaginisce die-cut numbers, daisy chain, satin ribbon

I've written (read: gushed) about my love for Acey Deucy, so of course I couldn't resist making a few tags using one of my all time favourite stamps: Colette. There's so much going on in this small image - phrenology head decorated with flowers and foliage, ink spots, handwriting, postage marks, a tassel and ribbon, and a masque. So much arty goodness! I'm kind of kicking myself for not making extra at the time, to put aside for my own use. Ah well. Another rainy day project :-)

Stamp - Acey Deucy
Ink - StazOn jet black
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Cristina Re pearl brad, small silk flower, assorted fibres,
Other - hole punch, watercolour pencils, gold glitter glue

Happy Holidays

My first Christmas post of 2011! I made this card for a time management feature in Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft but it didn't make it into the issue (FYI - I got a little carried away with the design and my "simple" version of this card wasn't so simple!) This is the advanced version and I wanted to share it with you for no other reason than I love and adore the candy cane on the front of the card. I'm not ashamed to say they were my star find at Kmart last year :-) LOL

Stamp - Imaginisce
Ink - StazOn jet black, Distress antique linen
Paper - Basic Grey
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Kaisercraft rhinestones, buttons, daisy chain lace, plastic candy cane, assorted ribbon, aida cloth
Other - gold glitter glue
