Live Out Loud

Hi guys :-) I have a card to share with you while I take a short break from creating cards for a new Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft stampers' challenge (think cupcakes!). This stamp is just *stunning*. I love the swirling flourishes and the little birds that are almost hidden in the foliage. A fab all-purpose design. Now, I must get back to work! Enjoy these rainy winter days - they're great for creating :-)

Stamp - Stamp-It
Ink - Brilliance graphite black
Paper - vintage wallpaper
Card - Bazzill

Grand Dad

Father's Day is just a few short weeks away - where has the year gone? Before I know it I'll be posting about Christmas cards *shriek* But first - Father's Day. I made this card for a special gallery in the new issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft. I admit - there's a lot going on on this card. I think I have a fear of "empty" space! The key here is restricted colours and a clear theme. The bird is the glue that hols this card together :-)

Paper - Collections
Card - Bazzill, Canson
Embellishments - Collections chipboard bird, Collections scrabble letters, Collections typewriter letters, Prima flower, Making Memories crystal brad, Kasiercraft rhinestone, button, music note punchies, acrylic leaves, twig
Other - embroidery thread, sewing needle

Alice

I'm afraid something horrible has happened here at Night Owl Designs. I'm camera-less! Yes, after an unfortunate incident involving sand, lots of sand, my camera is no more, and until I can replace it I won't be able to share my latest creations. Oh, the humanity! Ahem. Fortunately, I have a few pictures stashed away in the archives, the first of which are of a card I made for Somerset Studio's Alice in Wonderland call. I wanted a very bright card which popped with colour, hence the painted red/orange background. And, as you can see, I kept the embellishments to a minimum and concentrated instead on the water coloured image of Alice and the composition of the title. I was pretty happy with the finished card! Hope you like it too :-)

Stamp - Non Sequitur (Alice), Darkroom Door (butterflies)
Ink - StazOn jet black
Card - Bazzill, Canson,
Embellishments - Tim Holtz distressables, Kasiercraft rhinestone, ribbon, clock sticker
Other - LuminArte twinkling H2Os, water colour pencils, acrylic paint, old credit card, sandpaper
