Smile

This is the second card I created for the Kaszazz stampers' challenge in the new issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine. As you can see I took a more traditional route and formed the wings into a beautiful butterfly. I had a grand time shaping the wire into antennae and decorating the butterfly with glitter and rhinestones :-)

Stamp - Kaszazz
Ink - Brilliance graphite black
Paper - Cactus Pink
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Kaisercraft rhinestones, Making Memories de-fined sticker, lace, silk flower, button
Other - embroidery thread, gold wire, sewing needle, glitter glue, pliers

Create

A few months ago I was fortunate to be asked to participate in a Kaszazz stampers' challenge for Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft. So the magazine arrived in my letter box today and I'm here to share the first of my two creations. This tag was a blast to make, though I admit I struggled to come up with an "arty" interpretation. And don't ask how long it took to get those wings positioned correctly. OMG! Why do I do this to myself? The stamp itself is embossed with verdigris powder on black card (I can't remember the last time I embossed a stamp!) and I went with dark colours so the red book word would really 'pop'. Overall it's a fairly minimalist design and what embellishments I did use I made sure were vintage-style (the ball chain and tape measure). And there you have it. Next up - a slightly more traditional take on this stamp.

Stamp - Kaszazz (wings)
Ink - Versamark
Card - Canson
Embellishments - Collections clip art, Collections altered book word, Collections word sheet, vintage tape measure, ball chain
Other - hole punch, verdigris embossing powder, heat tool, sandpaper

Awesome

This is the third and final project from the new issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine that I have to share with you. I made this card for the stripes gallery, and as you can see I went with a robot theme using Darkroom Door products. I knew straight away that I wanted to create a kid's card; I mean, don't stripes just scream KIDS! to you? Yes? No? Hmmmm. Well, I set myself the double challenge of making a boys card and this is what I came up with.

Stamp - Darkroom Door
Ink - Brilliance graphite black
Paper - Darkroom Door
Card - Canson
Embellishments - Darkroom Door robot montage, Kaisercraft rhinestones, brads, ribbon
Other - white paint pen

Magic & Harmony

Here's another of my projects from the new issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft magazine - a pair of circus-themed ATCs. I enjoyed making these little cards so much I could have kept going and made 26 of them, simply because the stamps I used are alphabet stamps! I used the 't' and 'h' to make these cards but the other designs are just as fun and quirky :-)

Stamps - Zettiology, Lost Aussie
Ink - StazOn
Paper - watercolor
Card - Canson
Embellishments - Kaisercraft rhinestones, Darkroom Door wordstrips
Other - watercolor pencils, old credit card, acrylic paints
