It's Not Easy

On this cold and rainy Monday I was so happy to find the new issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft waiting for me in the mailbox. As usual, it's jam-packed with gorgeous projects and I'm lucky enough to have a few cards in the mix. First up is a piece I created for the vintage gallery. It has a touch of humour about it, courtesy of the Castslife Press stamp, which I love. I think the little gold crown makes this card. I bought a bunch of them from an online store in the US and used them so sparingly I forgot I had them!

I had a sweet request for a 50th birthday card from my friend Leisa's mum. The brief was simple: lace and an "olde world" feel. As you can see, I modeled it after the blue Mother's Day card I made for Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft. The flowers are my favourite part of this card. They were a lucky find, salvaged from the lining of a decorative envelope, but arranging them on the card was a bit of nightmare! Hehehehe. Flower arranging. It's a lot harder than it looks.
