This is the third and final project I have to share from the new issue of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft. As you know Mother's Day is just a couple of weeks away and this theme was featured in a gallery of beautiful cards. When I sat down to create my own card, I found some lovely blue floral wallpaper that I'd bought at a market stashed in my paper tray. The blue/gold combination worked perfectly and I used a sweet Collections gallery print to pull the "new mother" feel of the card together.

Down the Rabbit Hole

Here's the other card I created for the Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Alice in Wonderland stampers' challenge. I took a slightly different approach with this one. I'm a dismal paper-folder but I really wanted to convey a sense of space representative of a rabbit hole. This is what I came up with! The response to this challenge was amazing - so many beautiful cards were produced! Actually the entire issue is stellar so if you get your hands on a copy - do! It's a good'n.

Alice in Wonderland

I was incredibly fortunate to be asked to participate in this month's Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft stampers' challenge. I received the most beautiful set of Alice in Wonderland stamps to work with. Here's the first card. I created my own patterned paper by stamping and colouring two of the smaller stamps (key and lock) on heavy white paper. The Alice stamp is also coloured with pencils and the Alice in Wonderland title is stamped on ink-stained twill. I was ridiculously happy with this card! Of course, when you have such gorgeous stamps to work with, it isn't hard to come up with ideas.

Everyday Life

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. Isn't that a great quote? It's by Pablo Picasso and it's front and centre on a birthday card I made for my cousin this week. I used one of my favourite stamps, "Paris Moments" by Hampton Arts. The truly wonderful thing about this stamp is you can cut it up and use as many tiles as you want (or need). I only used four, but with fifteen to choose from, you'll never run out of ideas!

Paper - Basic Grey
Card - Canson
Embellishments - Making Memories alphabet rub-ons, Collections butterfly print, gold brads

Happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny was generous this year :-) This is just a quick post to share this little tag. If, like me, you have a few keen fisherman in your family, you might find this idea useful for birthdays, Fathers Day, etc. The card is pretty simple but you could easily bling it up with some fishing gizmos like swivels and hooks. They're cheap to buy and look fantastic!

Card - Canson, white mulberry
Embellishments - Rebecca Sower freshcut, Making Memories rub-on alphas, Kaisercraft rhinestones
