Dreaming of Cairo

A few weeks ago my sister approached me with a special request. She said, "I'd like an Egyptian card for my birthday." Then she threw a handful of vintage glass scarab beetles at me and walked off. Okaaaaay. LOLOL Well, after much angst and pulling of hair, I finished her card as directed. And here it is. I kept the colours fresh and simple - gold, white and navy blue - and the embellishments to a minimum (I know, shocking right? LOL). I had some scraps of glittery gold Dufex card left over from an old TSQ project and OMG this cardstock is so gorgeous; it finished off her card perfectly. You just can't go wrong with a bit of bling!

Stamps - Stamp-It, Collections

Detective Notes

Cluedo is my all time favourite board game, and after playing around with a few ideas for this Tuscan Rose stamp from The Stamping Queen, this ATC kinda made itself. Don't you love it when that happens?! It's a little hard to see in the pics, but I swirled the cardstock with the Marvey inkpad before stamping, which gave it a lovely marbled effect. And in case you're wondering about the Cluedo cards, I salvaged them from a special chocolate edition of the game put out a few Christmases ago. I just *knew* they'd come in handy one day!

Stamp - Tuscan Rose (phrenology head)
Ink - Marvey sea foam, StazOn jet black
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Kaisercraft wood flourish, miniature cluedo game card and detective note
Other - acrylic paint, paint brush, calligraphy pen
