Framed

This next piece for The Stamping Queen is a bit of quirky fun. Well, at least I think so! It's a little gift box, and inside is a matching pin which I made out a bottle cap and (lots!) of glass finish. The stamp I've used is by Stampotique, and it was the perfect size for both the match box and the bottle cap. Of course, there are lots of ways you could customise this piece. I went with a simple, monochromatic design but it would be fun to play with a really bold colour scheme too.

Stamp - Stampotique Originals
Ink - StazOn jet black
Paper - K&Company
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - glass beads, bottle cap, black mesh, large plastic pin
Other - Plaid glass finish, match box, glitter glue, pin back, circle punch, sandpaper

21st Birthday

I enjoyed creating my "2x2" ornament so much, I decided to make a birthday card so you could see the whole stamp and not just a small portion of it. It was a stroke of good luck that just as I sat down to work on this piece the mail arrived, and there was an envelope from Telstra. The letter inside was printed on this *really* gorgeous monochrome blue cardstock. Score!

Stamp - The Queen's Dresser Drawers, Inkadinkado
Ink - StazOn jet black
Embellishments - Kaisercraft rhinestones, Pebbles Inc. number stickers, ribbon
Other - circle punch, silver jump rings, pliers

2x2

The new DT theme over at The Stamping Queen is 'for the boys'. Eeeek! That's a hard one, lol. My first piece is a little hanging called "2x2". The adorable Queen's Dresser Drawers image is stamped on patterned paper and sandwiched between two glass memory slides. Next comes the fun bit - wrapping lengths of sticky copper tape around the glass and gluing on the photo turn. Aaaarrrrggghhhh! All in all it was a fun little project, and with a few minor adjustments you could turn it into a key ring or even a gift tag by writing a message on the reverse side of the paper before sticking the glass slides together. The sky really is the limit!

Stamp - The Queen's Dresser Drawers
Ink - StazOn jet black
Paper - Basic Grey
Embellishments - Collections rusty letter and number tiles, 2x2 memory glass, antique copper photo turn, ball chain and connector, glass heart, beaded chain
Other - Plaid glass finish, copper tape, sandpaper

Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Vol.14 No.12

I know, I know, I'm terribly late posting this but my first copy got lost in the mail and the replacement only arrived today. Soooooo.... here is my "Vintage Snapshots" project in Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft, as well as a couple of ATCs in the gallery. The first project features the very yummy Darkroom Door photobooth gentlemen and wordstrips from The Stamping Queen, while the artist trading cards are all about Stampington's whimsy stamps. Hope they give you a few ideas of your own :-)
