It's funny how making a tag can get the creative juices flowing. I think it's working on a smaller scale that takes the pressure off. I put this tag together with bits and pieces from past TSQ design team kits, plus a few extras that were cluttering up my desk. It's funny, I haven't used glitter in *ages*, but now I'm throwing it on anything that moves! So to speak :-) The bluebird, in case you're wondering, is chipboard painted with gallery glass (3 coats), then sealed with glass finish when dry. It's a bit time consuming, but makes for a lovely glossy effect. Perfect for a bluebird :-)

Paper/card - Basic Grey, Bazzill
Embellishments - Designs Galore clip art, Collections chipboard bird, Collections butterfly print, ribbon, glitter glue
Other - Plaid gallery glass, Plaid glass finish, hole punch, sandpaper

Razzle Dazzle

And now for something completely different! Keyrings are always a fun diversion after making lots of cards (OMG, you should see my card collection - boxes and boxes and boxes of them!). Anyway, this one has found a home, I'm happy to say. As you can see I've used lots of odds and ends putting this keyring together, plus a couple of things I've had for ages and didn't know what to do with. Rubble anyone?!

Embellishments - Designs Galore clip art, Collections chipboard frame, Collections rusty alphabet tiles, Jolee's Boutique silver key, rubble, assorted vintage jewels, silver bell
Other - Opals embossing enamels, Plaid glass finish, heat tool

Stampers' Sampler June/July 2009

A lovely surprise awaited me yesterday - the new issue of Stampers' Sampler direct from the US. There's always heaps of inspiration to found in the pages of this magazine; so many beautiful cards! And I was beyond thrilled to find my polka dot challenge card inside. After struggling to come up with something for this issue, and almost not getting my card mailed in time, it was pretty great to find the magazine lying in my mailbox :-)

My next peice for The Stamping Queen is a little gift tag. This time, instead of using the extant Designs Galore image, I trimmed around the pretty lady and placed her front and centre on the card. The other little bits I've used are from my May/June DT pack, plus a strip of old rhinestones from Jewels of the First Water. I must say, I'm absolutely *loving* the Collections butterfly prints. They're getting stuck on everything!

Paper - Wild Asparagus
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Designs Galore clip art, Collections dictionary strip, Collections butterfly print,  Francheville brad, photo clip, ribbon, vintage rhinestone fragment
Other - sandpaper
