Curtain Call

How cool are these Cherry Pie curtain stamps from The Stamping Queen?! As soon as I saw them I knew *exactly* what kind of card I was wanted to make. Funny how that happens. I think it turned out pretty close to the vision in my head. I wanted the curtains to frame a stage - the silver rhinestones represent the spotlights, the Japanese paper the scenery, and the ribbon bows the curtain ties. Of course, I needed a glamorous showgirl to finish the card, and a Designs Galore image did the trick.

Stamp - Cherry Pie Art Stamps
Ink - Distress black soot
Paper - Japanese yuzen
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Designs Galore collage image, Kaisercraft rhinestones, ribbon, vintage jewellery fragment

Again, I've eschewed a card for something different, this time an ATC. This new project for The Stamping Queen was a lot of fun to create. I even had the perfect piece of clip art saved, which doesn't often happen in my little world. My lucky day, LOL.

Ink - Distress black soot
Card - Canson
Embellishments - Collections altered book word, clip art

This next piece for The Stamping Queen reflects my favourite style of cardmaking - collage! I've used another Cherry Pie stamp and built my layers around a travel theme. The image itself is tinted with watercolour pencils and then distressed with sandpaper for that "old world" look. My own lttle slice of Italy. Mmmmmmm, heaven :-)

Stamp - Cherry Pie
Ink - StazOn jet black
Paper - K&Company
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Darkroom Door wordstrip, Kaisercraft wood flourish, MAMBI postage sticker, Rebecca Sower freshcut, lace, green embroidery thread, vintage religious medallion
Other - Tattered Angels glimmer mist, Krylon pen, beeswax, heat tool, watercolour pencils, matches, sandpaper

For You

For my first Stamping Queen project this month, I wanted to do something a little bit different. So, using one of the new Cherry Pie stamps from the store, I made this little gift box. It was very simple to construct - I just covered a match box with scraps of patterned paper, then added the stamped butterflies. Rhinestones, gold wire and a light wash of twinkling H2Os give the box a bit of pizazz.

Stamp - Cherry Pie Art Stamps (butterfly)
Ink - Versamark
Paper - K&Company
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Kaisercraft rhinestones, gold wire
Other - LuminArte twinkling H2Os, match box, pliers

This is a card I've created for a friend's birthday later this month. It's very similar to the Nouveau Dreaming card I made a while back. I followed the same basic composition but played around with the colour scheme and altered the embellishment at the bottom. This card will soon be fluttering its way to South Africa. Don't let me down Australia Post!

Stamp - PSX
Paper/card - Basic Grey, Bazzil
Embellishments - Kaiser rhinestones, Kaiser pearls, decorative playing card, gold wire, vintage cameo
Other - pliers

Handle With Care

Here is my design for Easter this year. It's a small, simple card which makes replication an easy process - very important when you're making a large quantity of cards :-) I've used three gorgeous Stampington stamps from The Stamping Queen. They're clear unmounteds which make stamping a pleasure. Not only are they easy to use, they're a breeze to clean. Happy Easter!

Stamps - Stampington & Company
Ink - Distress, Versamark
Card - Bazzil
Embellishments - ribbon
Other - hole punch
