The robots are back! These guys really are fun to work with - so many possibilities! This design is similar to the Fabulous card below; I've just mixed up the embellishments. I think the little "light-up buttons" are my favourite part of this card. They're simple to make - just stick a small rhinestone to a flat-top metal brad, but the effect is great and complements the robot theme perfectly :-)

Paper - Darkroom Door
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Darkroom Door robot montage, Kaisercraft rhinestones, computer key, copper mesh, brads

I decided to take a short break from the robot theme at the The Stamping Queen to create this house-themed ATC. I used my new bottle of glimmer mist and a Tim Holtz mask to create the background, and then added the chipboard houses which are embellished with paper, mesh and rhinestones. I'm really thrilled with the masked background. Getting the right combination of glimmer mist and cardboard isn't always easy but the when you do get it right, boy, does it look good!

Ink - Distress black soot
Paper - Wild Asparagus, K&Company
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Collections chipboard houses, Collections village text, Kaisercraft rhinestones, antique chest key, gold magic mesh, ric rac, lace
Other - Tattered Angels glimmer mist, Tim Holtz idea-ology mask

This next project for The Stamping Queen combines the fabulous Darkroom Door robots with glimmer mist and one of the new Tim Holtz masks. I chose the timeworks set because it complements the robot theme perfectly. To achieve the background, I simply overlayed a piece of black card with several small timeworks masks and generously sprayed with glimmer mist. Lots of messy fun guaranteed!

Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Darkroom Door robot montage, watch parts, jump ring
Other - Tattered Angels glimmer mist, Tim Holtz idea-ology mask

The new theme over at The Stamping Queen is robots! Specifically, the Darkroom Door robot montage here. This is such a fun challenge. Ordinarily I don't make kids cards, but I have so many ideas for these little guys buzzing around my head I think I'll have to make a big batch of cards and tags to satiate my new craze! By far the best part of making this card was co-ordinating the robot with all the little electrical gizmos I've been saving for months. As you do, lol.

Paper - Darkroom Door
Card - Bazzill
Embellishments - Darkroom Door robot montage, Kaisercraft rhinestones, brads, ric rac, assorted electrical parts, small washer

Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Vol.14. No.9

Okay, so this is a little bit embarrassing but my most recent appearance in Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft is the 20 Questions feature. Yikes! It's a bit unnerving seeing your picture in a magazine. I much prefer the anonymity of having just my name next to my work. Still pretty cool though :-)
