Hi everyone! I hope you're making the most of the chilly weather to create, create, create! Here's a heritage style card I made not too long ago. I've used a Collections altered book word, a few buttons, triangle-shaped clip, torn strip of negative, and a silver leaf charm. I remember when I first started playing with this style of card. My colour choice was always dark - black, chocolate, burgundy. You get the idea! I still love those colours but sometimes it's nice to use a bit of pink :-)

Wednesday Stamper - Two Tone

I can't remember the last time I had a go at Wednesday Stamper but I couldn't resist the new two tone challenge! My chosen colours are dark yellow and black/grey and I used Basic Grey paper, a bit of lace, lots of layers of cardstock, and a fab stamp by Inkadinkado. Thanks as always for dropping by :-)

Christmas Baubles

This card came about because I had an odd shaped piece of cardstock, with the corners cut off (don't remember why I did that!) The idea of a tag shaped card came to me, and I decided to make a Christmas card - it is Christmas in July, after all :-) From The Stamping Queen I used a Tuscan Rose watch ring stamp as the bauble, Crafty Individuals Santa stamp and Kaisercraft rhinestones. Extra bits are the ribbons and Basic Grey paper.

Sail Away

I thought I'd do something completely different for my next TSQ sample. And looking at it now, I think it'd make a good man's card, even though it has a honking big flower on it, LOL. From The Stamping Queen I've used Darkroom Door Venetian filmstrips, Collections bohemian transparency and an antique brass photo turn. From my stash I added gingham ribbon, a large Prima flower, blue brad and an enamel daisy from Jewels of the First Water.

Free Spirit

The last time I made an ATC was...... well, a long time ago! Here I've used a pretty flourish stamp by Tuscan Rose. In case you're wondering, the background is Bazzill cardstock and I coloured the flourish with watercolour pencils and Twinkling H2Os, and then rubbed copper chalk over the whole thing. Also from TSQ I've used Kaisercraft rhinestones, Collections text and a Darkroom Door photobooth lady. From my stash I added a pink teardrop glass bead and variegated ribbon.

Day Dreaming

Bold and colourful is how I'd describe this next card! I was playing with my Tuscan Rose stamps from The Stamping Queen and it struck me that these two images - the girl and the ravens - worked really well together. So I stamped them on cream card and then sponged around the images with Distress inks. Then I added ribbon, lots of seed beads (grrrr, glue everywhere!) and a delicate wired flower spray from Jewels of the First Water. Have a creative weekend everyone!

A Little Birdie Told Me

Here's another Tuscan Rose art doll I couldn't resist from The Stamping Queen! I wanted to do something a little different with this one, not quite so bright and full-on as the card below. The end result is part arty, part shabby chic, LOL. Also from TSQ I've used the new Collections bohemian transparency, Kaiser rhinestones and pearls, and Collections text. The pink and green brads and the little confetti heart are from my stash :-)

In the Garden

It feels like *ages* since I made a really arty card! And how could anyone resist this funky Tuscan Rose art doll from The Stamping Queen? I know I couldn't, lol. To make this card, I stamped the image twice on light cream card and cut out just the wings from the second impression - to give the doll a 3D effect. Then I watercoloured the whole thing and added a wash of Twinkling H2Os. The Collections victorian trim and Kaisercraft brads and rhinestones are also available from TSQ.
