Wednesday Stamper - Hats

Here is my response to the new Wednesday Stamper challenge - hats. This is one of my favourite stamps, Gracious Lady by Hero Arts. I've masked it then over-stamped with lots of small designs from my stash :-) Thanks for looking!

Australian Paper Crafts 66

It's always exciting to receive a magazine in the mail, but it's even *more* thrilling when you've been published! I have two very different projects in the July issue of Australian Paper Crafts. First is a set of cards inspired by my friend Amy; she went to South Africa on her honeymoon and was sweet enough to bring me back some papers, charms and beads :-) The second card is a very traditional kid's card. I used a gorgeous epoxy sticker as the centrepiece and added a bit of stitching and some ribbon and brads. As different as night and day :-)

Paper - African print gift wrap
Embellishments - faux pebble beads, gold brads, leopard print fabric, feathers, lion charm, tribal mask charm
Other - gold wire

Paper - Carolee's Creations
Card - Canson
Embellishments - K&Company expoxy sticker, ribbon, brads
Other - embroidery thread, sewing needle

Stamping & Papercraft Vol.12 No.9

A nice little surprise awaited me today - a copy of Stamping & Papercraft with one of my cards in the readers' gallery :o) I made this one using a Heidi Swapp mask and acrylic paint. The beautiful floral ribbon was a gift from my Mum; she's always finding fabulous little things for me, LOL.

Wednesday Stamper - Eggs

The theme of this week's Wednesday Stamper is eggs. Here is my entry! The background is an ATC-sized piece of canvas that I stippled with red and yellow acrylic paints and overstamped with foreign postage marks. I then added a clip art egg, ribbon, Prima flowers, mesh and Dymo tape. Stamp by Inkadinkado.

Wednesday Stamper - Polka Dots

Yet another tricky Wednesday Stamper challenge! I had to improvise with the polka dots, not having any patterned paper or stamps - so I used the stubby little eraser on the end of a lead pencil to 'stamp' my dots on a piece of hand-painted paper. The centre-piece is a poker chip which I covered with paper and a stamped image of a girl. I then coated the whole thing with glass finish and glued on the halo. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of turning the little centre-piece into a brooch. A project for another day :-)

Ink - StazOn jet black, Distress vintage photo
Card - Canson
Embellishments - gold halo, poker chip, airmail stamp
Other - Plaid glass finish, acrylic paint

Wednesday Stamper - Door

Here's my contribution to the new Wednesday Stamper challenge - doors. Quite the challenge since I don't own any door stamps! Instead, I've used a Collections shrine which I've painted with acrylic paints and inks. I then embellished it with clip art, vintage lace and ribbon, and a key charm and lock brad. Stamps by Limited Edition, Lost Coast Designs and Paper Artsy.
